I'll dominate 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
